The Copper Goose is my piece of the internet where I can share my home projects, crafts, and decorating ideas with others and also network with the DIY community who has inspired me so much.  My background is not in design or textiles or photography – I’m just a regular girl with a love for antiques, crafts, and home projects.

About Me

My name is Sarah and I’m a wife, mom, and dog-lover.  I was born and raised in Kentucky and traveled around a bit before settling back down in my home state.  Professionally, I’m an occupational therapist practicing with the special needs community but my time off is spent diving into DIY projects like furniture makeovers, handmade décor, and upcycling vintage items for my own home.  I’m a furniture-flipping enthusiast and when I’m not waist-deep in a project, I am at my happiest spending time with my boys and my dogs, and being outdoors (preferably all at once)!

“The Copper Goose” is named after my two best buds – Copper the hound dog and Lucy “Goose.”  These two rescue pups have been around for a while and have joined in life’s many journeys.  Lucy is the most tenacious dog I’ve ever seen.  Copper is a gentle soul and snuggle-muffin with a mild obsession for chasing birds.  I’m sure you’ll see plenty of photos of them scattered throughout my posts!
